I go to a website that requires a Java plug-in. I downloaded the latest update (21) for Java 7 from Oracle but when I go to Add-Ons>Plugins in Firefox 20 the Java plug-in doesn't appear and when I do a search at the Get Add-ons nothing that mentions the Java Plug-in shows up. Where can I get the plug-in required to use with JRE7u21?

I am now getting the 'well this is embarrassing...' message EVERY time I open Firefox; I have my Home page set to always open 9 tabs - these are the SAME tabs I have opened at start-up for about 2 years - WHY this annoying message now?! When I click 'close' the Home page opens with all the tabs with no problem, but the message is really irritating & doesn't seem to be telling me anything, as there isn't a problem with any of the tabs? NB: In case you ask 'why 9 tabs'?; these are essential websites I use every time I am browsing/working; I cannot keep opening them manually every time. Please advise why this message comes up as here seems to be no problem, & how I can get rid of it? Thanks.

this is a popup called value apps, it comes up when i start firefox and cant be closed until I quit firefox. it has a picture of a piggy bank with cash going into it. it says try it now then says by clicking try it now you agree to the access, collection and usage of your information by value apps. I love firefox but this seems connected to your website. i think it might be some kind of virus

Since we started serving our js and css through CloudFront a few weeks ago, we started seeing a problem with Firefox, where those assets sometimes wouldn't load.

So far, the only way I was able to reproduce the issue was to load our homepage in the afternoon, not closing my browser and then refreshing the page the next morning. I know this is rather extreme, but some of our clients reported this issue which means that it happens in real life scenarios as well. We were able to reproduce it on Windows and OSX from our office in NYC and Krakow, Poland.

I used Firebug to track this problem down and it looks like Firefox is ignoring the TTL on DNS requests when looking up urls and caches them almost indefinitely. Due to the constant rotation of the CloudFront servers, after enough time the server at the cached IP stops responding and all requests are being dropped (aborted requests on the screenshots). Does this sound like a plausible explanation? Did anyone have the same issue and has a solution for it?

I recently updated firefox and found that soundcloud wasn't working. It's loading songs but once I press play nothing happens. I received an alert in the top corner of the page suggesting I turn off adblocker or enable flash. I don't have an adblocker and I have the flash plugin and it is up to date. I can't figure out what else it could possibly be.

I don't have Java installed so clearing my cache isn't going to fix the issue. Please help ;__;

I can only see the contents of my bookmarks toolbar via History ⟶ Show All History. And I can't customize the toolbars because I can't bring up the dialogue box.

I'm also having trouble with the sidebar:

Two things I can't get to show in the sidebar are Bookmarks and History (View ⟶ Sidebar ⟶ Bookmarks and View ⟶ Sidebar ⟶ History). The shortcuts don't work either.

Two things I can get to show in the sidebar ScrapBook and Pocket, however, I can't close the sidebar via the top right cross, but have to go via the menu: View ⟶ Sidebar ⟶ Pocket / ScrapBook.

Firefox 21.0 beta channel Mac OS X Version 10.7.5

10 days ago gmail started locking me out of my account with this message. It's always the same sequence: I open gmail, do a few light tasks (e.g., sending a message without attachments, reviewing my sent messages, etc) and in the middle of an operation (sending or saving a message or ewhatever, doesn't matter), gmail freezes, I click on the x to leave the page and exit. When I try to re-enter I get the above message "Unusal Usage -- Account Temporarily Locked Down". Gmail won't let me in. 20 to 30 mins. later I can re-enter, and the cycle described above is repeated.

Whenever I click a link in firefox, whether I option-click it or right-click it and choose "Open in new Tab." Firefox lately always opens a new window, not a tab. For the life of me, I cannot get it to open a page in a new tab.

There was a time when I had one window open, and every time I would choose to create a new tab, it would create it in that window instead of the window I was currently in, but I have since closed that window, and now I cannot get a link to open in a new tab no matter what I do.

I have tried both selecting and deselecting "Open new windows in a new tab instead" In Firefox preferences, restarting Firefox in "Safe" mode, etc. to no avail.

How do I fix this?

Firefox 19.0 there is a website where they have a gallery of pictures all the images from the gallery are hosted on Photobucket, they use to show up as normal but now for some reason they don't, I tried clearing the cookies and the cache, I made sure the download images automatically is check and every other bit of advise I could find on the web to no avail.

One thing I notice though is if you right click the missing image to get to view image information you will see Location: the address of the image is correct (copy and paste in the address bar bring up the image) Type: text/html (This is odd it should be img/jpeg) Size: 0 kb (of course the image was not downloaded) Dimension: 0 x 0 (again no image downloaded)

So if anybody has an idea how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

I use 1Password and have it installed as an add-on in Firefox. The button for 1Password has been disappearing upon booting up in the mornings 8 out of 10 times during the past months. I have checked the add-ons list and 1Password is installed and enabled. I have spent hours going back and forth with Agile Bits to problem solve, too. I have installed a new Firefox profile, upgraded to the latest Firefox version and 1Password version, reinstalled the 1Password extension several times -- and still it doesn't show up in the morning when I start up. Agile Bits is out of ideas and so am I. We'd like to get some help from Mozilla. Agile Bits has offered to talk to you directly to help solve this problem. My husband who works with Safari doesn't have any problems with his 1Password add-on.

The new Firefox plug-in Hola seems to have taken over my computer. I deleted it but now when I attempt to go to Hulu (the video site) I am redirected to the Hola website and asked to dowload new software. I have a Mac running OS X 10.7.5.

This Hola program is insidious - Mozilla should ban it.

I've upgraded to ff18.

On amazon.co.uk i got a weird ff system popup (yellowish bg) asking if i wanted to activate the flash plugin (yes. not now, never). like the remember password popup options. it didn;t register completely (end of the day ^^) so i clicked never (since amazon doesn't need flash for what i use it for). but after the click i thought hey wait, wtf, i don't know this window.

Now i didn't read anything about this in the release notes. Is this part of ff18? also i cannot reproduce this on other firefox18 installs on other machines.

Now i have installed no script + request policy, but i couldn;t find anything about this in those release notes either.

also since i clicked never, i've also looked in the about:config and searched for amazon to check if i could find the config entry which stored my choise, without luck.

also if this is from firefox itself, is there a configuration option/settings key which i can use for lookiup in about:cfg?

When my 'update firefox' message comes up the bar shows download happening but then just hangs showing the little blue bars - if left can go on for days with nothing actually happening.

I have a MacBook Pro and have just noticed that, as of today 2/15/13, the Form & Search History in the Tools, Clear Search History, section is often lightened/blurred over and its tiny box no longer able to be checked. More importantly, the Clear Search History -itself- is completely disabled and not working. I used it yesterday and it appeared to work fine. I've noticed that there are quite a few reports of this problem occurring with other users, but any and all those who have responded to these reports, with suggestions, are of no help whatsoever, to me, as I cannot understand them. Can someone who is able to give the proper effective advice do s in layman's terms so I can comprehend their instructions, please.  :-) Thank you.

I have tabs and a plus sign for a new tab. When I click to get a new tab, I just get a tab labeled New Tab and on the screen I see mini-screens of commonly visited sites. There is nowhere to put a url address.

Using a MacBook Pro Laptop Computer. Have read most of the help suggestions but still having no luck importing bookmarks to Firefox. No Import Button on File Menu Bar

On your help line I've found lots of messages asking this question, but no solution given. I always close the tabs, and close down the computer. It still happens. Is this a problem from your end? Please help us get rid of this annoying message.
