When I install the latest version of Flash Player(11.6.602.171), I get a firefox plugin. Why am I not receiving the Flash Player instead? OS is vista home premium, firefox v.18

For the last few days my Firefox does not display the downloads window. I have tried to follow the suggestion set out in Firefox Help ie Tools --> Options --> General

But my General Tab doesn't show under Downloads the option to check the box "Show the Downloads window when downloading a file". Under Downloads, the only option shows "save files to Downloads" and "Always ask me where to save files".

Any suggestions on how I can get to --> Downloads the option to check the box "Show the Downloads window when downloading a file".

Ever since February (some kind of update happened), Firefox has basically died on my computer. I open it and only for a few moments does it work with any kind of speed, then it literally dies to a snails pace. It takes minutes even to scroll a screen or open a menu screen. And that's just being on the Mozilla site. Forget about trying to open any other significant websites. I have tried everything from reinstalling, resetting and disability plug-ins. I will say that the Firefox Icon at the bottom of my screen shows a security shield on it, which didn't use to be there. I really need help. I've been forced to use Chrome, which did work fine, but I can't stand it. SAVE ME PLEASE!!!!

I have a dell inspirion mini 10, and i just recently got all the settings rebooted and reinstalled xp. All i have right now is internet explorer, and the first thing i did on the internet was attempt to install firefox. The first two times my modem fell off, so im not sure if that has anything to do with the problem. Bu t now everytime i try to install firefox it stops at 99%, and doesnt finish. Ive had the same problem with downloading adobe flash player and ccleaner, but i was successful in downloading vlc media player through ninite to test things out, and and old, archive version of adobe flash player. Practically nothing is on this comp, so i dont think theres a problem with sercurity firewall or not, and im afraid it just might be the computer is on its way out, please help.

I have a Mac and I can't open firefox because it says "Profile Missing-Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." Then I tried to delete it by moving it to trash and it says it cannot be moved to the trash.

I really dislike the "new" 20.bla-bla-bla version of FF because of the download window that appear in library window (wtfFF) and the colorful file system icons in it. SO I want to get back my "old" 19.0.2... Is this possible in therms of the structurаl differences mentioned above in the v.20?

I know about the site where I can find the exact version I need for downgrade with, but can I just run the setup without saving any data... just like when upgrading?

Please answer my question and let me know how to downgrade 20 to 19.0.2...

I have just installed FF 17. I am running Win 8 Pro 64bit, Eset Smart Security 5. After installing FF 17, I went to the add-ons page. I got the following error message:

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to services.addons.mozilla.org, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

         Normally, when you try to connect securely,

sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

         What Should I Do?

Now this is your site. Why the error. Mozilla does not even trust their own page? I had this issue with FF 16, but found that NOT installing the auto-update feature got rid of this error message.

Now I have been all over the web Googling this error message, and there are pages on pages, but no Final, nor concrete solution. Even here on your Support forum loads of questions, yet not one answer.

I have seen: 1. Make sure my pc clock is right. It is. 2.Turn off SSL in Eset. Not a chance. Why do I have a firewall for? 3. Choose I know the risks, and make an exception. If I do that I will have to make exception for the entire web. Not a chance.

I didn't have this issue until version 16, any version prior to this worked like a charm.

So what in sam hill have you done to FF, to cause this? I think it about time this is resolved so your users don't have to muck around with their security apps.

Just OK'ed the v20.0 push upgrade. Tried to download files as I had always done.

Was very surprised by the new interface and process. Frankly, it's a step backward and really leaves alot to be desired.

Is there anyway to change the config back to the download process/interface model of v19.x?

I have tried to update the RealPlayer(tm) HTML5VideoShim Plug-In (32-bit) and the RealNetworks(tm) Chrome Background Extension Plug-In (32-bit) as is was suggested but when I press the button next to them nothing happens. Have tried that a few times...still nothing happens.

When I open or save an attachment from an e-mail, it only opens or saves as "view attachment (xx)" I would like to be able to open or save the actual file, ie filename.doc, or filename.xls, or filename.pdf.

I recently purchased a google chrome book and would like to know if you have a version that works with the google chrome os The unit I purchased was the samsung chromebook I have used firefox for as long as i can remember and would like to continue
