What is 410 Gone error and hsrd.yahoo.com?

When I try to get on line with Firefox I get a message that the server is no longer working? It give "410 Gone" also the URL is hsrd.yahoo.com etc. I can't remember all the details. But each time I go on-line using Firefox, this message comes up. Just started last night. Doesn't come up on Google or IE. I can not find a solution on the internet. I can get my Yahoo Home Page if I click the Purple Y in left upper corner. But who wants to have to do that each time.

Thank you for your information. I will save it. I have fixed the problem (hopefully permanently) but may in future have to use your info. I am a nerd so I hope I can follow the directions. I was able to solve the problem by going to System Manager and restored my computer to a date before the problem. And surprisingly, it WORKED. I thank you for you quick response. Ferngully2
