I installed Firefox 2 days ago (Windows Vista)& my fax machine / HP 6700 will not accept faxes now, how do I correct this problem?
my fax machine will not receive a fax. Is there some sort of firewall or something preventing this? or a control panel somewhere where I choose this option? I re set the fax machine and that did not help. None of your tutorials helped either. I could not find anything related. I am a small business and need my fax machine.

by TylerdownerContact HP to set up your Fax, as edmister said.
Browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome) have no interaction with your fax machine, faxes are analog technology run over telephone lines, browsers are digital technology, that while it can be run over a phone line (like in DSL) Has no impact on your fax.

How do you connect to the internet? broadband or dial up?
Question owner
broadband

UNTRUE fax worked fine with google chrome. brand new fax machine. must have something to do with the broadband internet connection ,
Question owner
the connection is wireless.......
How do you expect to receive a fax (or send one) if the "fax" part of that All-in-one isn't plugged into a telephone jack? You can't use the "fax" part of that machine with a broadband or wireless connection, it has to be connected to a telephone line.
Read your manual or see HP support for further help.
