Why can't I search in address bar?

Posted

Whenever I try to search in the address bar it says " The address isn't valid" 'Not a URL." I did the about:config thing and reset the keyword url and keyword enable, but it still will not let me search.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
