Hi ankanamoon:

Yes I confirm that if a web page requests use of the camera via the camera API, then a web page can take a picture! https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/DOM/Using_the_Camera_API

hope that answers the camera API portion of this question

Firefox should not be requesting access to use your camera. This may be due to the website you are viewing.

if you go to the play store, one of the permissions is to access the camera and mic.

That is there because Firefox would need to access it if websites request to access it. There is no big deal if you use Firefox for normal use and do not go on websites that require using webcam and mic.

Using sync at this moment is the best way to export off a mobile device. There are other ways unfortunately, I do not expertise in exporting bookmarks so you may have to wait for another contributor to answer you. We do have many reports of syncing screwing up bookmarks and I can't confirm that it is being worked on but I am sure it is. At the same time I will ping my colleague to have a look at this thread so we can also double check on the access of the camera and mic

At this moment, I would like to request for your patience while this is being done.

Thanks!

I have no problem waiting, at least I am getting an answer, better compaired to the answers one gets on the play store(namely none).

what is annoying about the bookmark issue is, in setting its labeled export and import, yet there is only import.

There is no way for us to reply back to users on the play store. We can only gather feedback from there. We could individually reach out to users but it is easier if they contact us as we have the resources here to assist them. At this moment, my colleague has been pinged and it wouldn't be for a while for an answer. Possibly up to 24-48 hours.

Yes, when you want to take a picture to upload it would require use of the camera.
