Is there a way firefox will store user name information for a site without the password information?
some other browsers allow a user name to be automatically filled in and saved so you just need to enter a password. It appears that Firefox does not allow this option. Is there a way firefox will store user name information for a site without the password information?

You can use form fill if you only want to store the user name.
- Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember search and form history"
