how do i get rid of strongvault?

Posted

I heard they were gone because they didn't re-register the name. No matter. All I get from them are ads, one after another, interrupting my online work. There is no longer an icon on my desktop, so how do I delete?

I experienced this issue the other day. Check in your control panel's uninstall a program to see if strongvault is listed. If it is not please see http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall to uninstall.

At the same time, this thread is going to be closed as it is off topic and unrelated to Firefox.

Here is the thread releated to your issue which should help you out: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_other-windows_programs/what-program-is-strong-vault-connected-to/f9cfb0e2-af3b-46ca-80a4-470c8d36f8fc

Thanks!

yes, it was listed. i clicked uninstall and held my breath because the pop-up microsoft recommendation was not to follow thru. but i did anyway, and it seems to have worked. at least, it's no longer listed on my control panel.

thanks !!

Yes, you might also have to remove it from being your homepage as well as it may still show in the addons list. Otherwise, your issue should be resolved. Take care!
