Firefox 18 and 19 are slow if we use a wpad (proxy autodiscovery). IE and chrome working fine.
It seems firefox is waiting after every downloaded object, if we use a wpad file.
If I configure the proxy directly in firefox or use a different browser ( chrome and IE tested ) with the wpad-url, everything is working fine.
I tried already a new empty profile (because I use so many plugins).
