Using the step by step instructions from the above article - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/import-bookmarks-internet-explorer - I am still unable to import ALL my favorites from IE; only those beginning with the alphabets A to E (so just over 50%) are imported to a file at the bottom of Bookmarks entitled 'From Internet Explorer) - I tried unsuccessfully three times; A to N only were imported three times. Nor did the suggestions to import manually from IE (same computer) work either. Any more suggestions?

In IE:
File > Import/Export - Export to HTML filethen in Firefox:
Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks -> Import & Backup --> Import Bookmarks from HTML file -
ceebee110153 4 months ago It worked, thanks. Now I'll need to go through all my bookmarks and delete duplicates/triplicates where necessary. When I save files to my favourites on IE in future, will I need to go through this same painstaking process ie deleting doubles etc?
Again, many thanks for your prompt assistance.

the-edmeister 4 months ago Firefox bookmarks aren't linked to IE Favorites, so if you would save a new bookmark to Firefox or a new Favorite to IE it won't be in the other browser. You would need a program like X-marks to synchronize favorites / bookmarks.
Or you could just use your Favorites in Firefox.
