history deleted but address bar still shows old sites

Posted

- After not using my PC in 2 months I logged onto a new network. None of my history was there and there was a new homepage. However, old sites appear as suggestions when I put letters into the address bar. I am assuming this info has to be stored somewhere. I there any way to access it?

You will still get bookmarked items coming up as suggestions, they will have a star next to them.

If you are keying into the google search bar you will also get google suggestions, possibly some of those may relate to previous searches that Google has logged, or simply be high probability suggestions.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.
