Just installed firefox sync on firefox 18.0...ran the first sync, and now whenever I load firefox, or in several minutes of continuing using firefox, a tab called "Your First Sync" appears...even after closing firefox or the tab. Wondering if I can get some support on this. Thanks

smo 4 months ago Possible reason for the symptoms you are mentioning is the initial amount of data that need to be transferred from your system to the server. You can check the sizes involved in Options > Sync > Manage account > View Quota.

blackoutgo 4 months ago Home page is currently set to my igoogle page, as it has been for the past 6 years so that wouldn't be an issue. It is opening on an additional tab when the page loads. Seems to me that it isn't a setting issue on my end but on the sync server side. Quite unimpressed so far.
