Firefox version number 17.0 on my Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 running Android 2.3.6. Using the Samsung keyboard with XT9 predictive text. I can enter text ok into the URL field but the problem appears when I try to enter text into a data entry field on a web page. When I type the first character, the cursor appears on the left of that character instead of to the right. This means that the text is entered backwards. the only way I can get it to enter text correctly is if I shift the cursor after entering each character. Example web page entry field is the Search field on my home page www.nzcity.co.nz but it happens on other fields as well. Thanks. Peter Northway

None of that info applies to mobile.

We have made several changes to keyboard input in Firefox 19 and 20. You should be able to find Firefox 19 in the play store as Firefox beta on Friday of this week.

Try in Safe Mode -> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Did you installed any Firefox themes - change it to default.
