Firefox Sync. is takes long time,it says:Your data is now being encrypted and uploaded in the background. You can..how much time should it take?

Firefox Sync. is takes long time(1hr & still didnt finish) it says:Your data is now being encrypted and uploaded in the background. You can close this tab and continue using Firefox. ..the progress bar was filling normally until it reaches end but no any notification or message that it is finished how much time should it take?minutes or hrs? my internet connection speed 1024/256,using FF 17

I am sorry but what do you mean by initial Sync. process?its 5 hrs now since i started syncing and no any message or notification only close button is appearing ,what if i closed the FF now will it stop Syncing? it is like in image attached.

Let it run until it is finished for the initial Sync process.

Did you try to close that page and check in Option > Sync?

Try to check the sync log to see what is happening.
You can find links on the about_sync-log page, via the location bar.

You can also check what is stored on the Sync server.
