After using Firefox for some time, like, hour or more, its just starts using lots of RAM. Its really irritating for this problem to go on from version 10 or whatever , I don't remember. Anyone with some solution, maybe editing about:config or ?

guileite 3 months ago I have this same problem for a while now, and its constant through the latest versions. Firefox won't stop piling up memory, to the point i have to restart it to cotinue using. Flash videos, like Youtube, are unwatchable because it plays as if it was stuttering (video only, not audio). Does someone know a solution?

I find it offensive that the "solution" to this is "fix it yourself." We are told to test the plugins, etc.
Sorry, they should have been vetted before they were allowed to be distributed.
Further, it is obvious that problematic plugins/etc. are already known, however, that information is somehow not readily disclosed. Why? Maybe they don't want to slander a given plugin/etc. publicly.
Either way, the users of FF really pay the price.
Right now my FF is using 407 mB memory and 420 VM memory.
(NOTE: If you maintain this advice, you should at least provide a URL where users who have found plugin problems can poll the specific plugin so others will know which ones to look out for.)
