New tab page is just showing up blank. There are no empty boxes for pinning pages or anything. How do I fix?

Just updated to the new firefox on my new computer, this whole tab page feature is not even showing up. I do empty cache occasionally, but the little blank dotted boxes that are supposed to be on a new page are non-existant. Please help!

hello cryptorchidangel, you can either install the searchreset addon which should get rid of the problem or you can manually reset the page that opens on each new tab. enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up), search for the preference named browser.newtab.url and double-click & change its value to about:newtab.
