The Open a New Tab button does not work. I'm using Firefox 17.0 on Windows 7. Have restarted computer.

It had been working fine. Suddenly not working after no significant change to computer (that I'm aware of).

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Thanks, cor-el. I learned about resetting Firefox from your response, and that resolved the issue. Never went on to safe mode. I appreciate your help.
