Go to www.getfirefox.com and download and install the latest version. You can also read Install Firefox on Mac for more help.

You may have a corrupted user agent that identifies you as Firefox/3.6.8 Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Glue/4.5

If you set Firefox as the default browser then that is your main browser.
You can still start other browser just like you did before via their icons or otherwise.
