How do I remove Babylon as my default search engine?
I have removed it from the control panel/programs/uninstall. It does not appear on Firefox-tools/add-ons/extensions or plugins. Yet anytime I click on 'new-tab' it is the default search engine. I also removed a cookie named babylon. Still apears.

by philipphello rayfriesen, first of all please make sure that you've uninstalled all components of babylon in the windows control panel (it also runs under the name of ("Browser Manager", "Bprotector", "Object Installer"). you then can either install the searchreset addon to get rid of the problem or manually reset the page that opens on each new tab.
enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up), search for the preference named browser.newtab.url and right-click & change it to the default value (about:newtab).
