Firefox constantly crashes since 15.0.1 update
Firefox crashes CONSTANTLY. It is non-discriminatory as to when, where, what or why I'm doing anything. No one web page has done it. I have always submitted results and asked to be notified and have heard bupkiss... I would attache my last crash data, except you guys have 30 crash dumps already. I've tried disabling all addons (Ghostery, ABP and Flash) to no avail. I'm currently running unsynced from my other devices to see if that makes a difference.
I switched because I was tired of IEs pop up and crap, but now I think IE is a Godsend. If you guys can't get this fixed, I'll move on to Chrome!
The damn thing JUST crashed AGAIN trying to Copy and Paste the Help>Troubleshooting info... I'm done.
Helpful replies
hello scottiemedic, some other users who have recently updated the graphics driver for their ati hardware (to ati catalyst version 12.8) have reported similar crashes. please try disabling hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general & see if this resolves the issue of frequent crashes for the moment until ati releases a new driver.
Go to answer 8i'm fully personally responsible for all the replies i'm giving since i'm a volunteering contributor and not connected to mozilla. i honestly don't understand why you consider my response inadequate, rude and downright ignorant - but also have no desire arguing with you. furthermore you can rest assured that i don't care which browser you're using. however if you don't want to troubleshoot the issue, then there's no point posting at a support forum?!
i've looked on all your submitted crash reports and the ati driver version catched my eye, since i've seen quite a few similar crashes in the last few days. modern browsers the graphics hardware in your pc to render elements of webpages to make them load faster & therefore also depend on the drivers that are releaseds by those third-partys. in case there is a bug in ati's drivers that causes a crash, mozilla's only options are to wait for an update of that driver and blocklist the driver in the meantime (a process which is already being considered for your configuration).

Followup/FYI: OK! :) I'm feeling like things are beginning to look up! I've been keeping a Crash log of crashes, BSOD's, freezes, etc. and fixing each one step by step. 1. Firefox seem to be pretty stable now after @Cutmetal's tip. 2. Adobe Flashplay occurs infrequently 3. Camtasia Studio 8 works hand-in-hand with Dragon, and 4. Windows 7 appears to be in a much better mood now and is getting along with everyone!
The final step I took, was to update a mobo driver: Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility (a known BSOD maker in Win7). Also a part of the Asus PCProbe and AISuite Utilities.
So, unless everything backfires on me - Thank all of you for your input and help. This is a great forum and if I run into anymore problems, I'LL BE BACK!
The "Firefixer" download link in the previous reply was reviewed and removed by a moderator yesterday. Anyone who received that link in an e-mail notification should not download and run the Firefix.exe file.

January 2013: Re: 17.0.1 Mozilla Firefox Yahoo! edition yahoo – 1.9
I hope the irony is not lost: When I try to view and order on Amazon, Firefox crashes; every time, not always at same screen. When I try to use I.E. to order books from Amazon, IE will not open the "Look Inside" feature, just keeps spinning that wheel. Between a rock and a hard place, but especially tired of sending info to Firefox after each crash and still having problem since early December (?) 2012!

Sorry, I entered in wrong place on this great site. Mine was an observation, not a solution, but will return if I find one. Thanks
