How Do I Restore Mozilla's Default New Tab Page

Posted

Firefox used to have a screen full of my most visited sites open when I opened a new tab. Now, after installing and uninstalling Incredibar software (malware is more like it), I cannot seem to get the MyStart page to stop opening when I create a new tab. Is there any way to restore the original New Tab page that I had before?

hello strandedtxgirly, you can either install the search reset addon or manually reset the new tab page by entering about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up), searching for the preference named browser.newtab.url and right-clicking & resetting it to its default value (about:newtab).
