BBC page http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19072761 (Circumcision debate) Firefox loads picture then goes blank in c. 1 second. Other similar pages work OK on both browsers

John99 9 months ago Works ok for me in Firefox on Linux.
Is there a possibility that you have software that is censoring the subject ?
Some of the content is FlashPlayer based, but from what you say other pages are ok, so it is probably not one of the FlashPlaer 11.3 etc problems. (Linux uses 11.2 anyway)

cor-el 8 months ago Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

timpo 8 months ago It seems to be the add-on Page Tweek 1.0.5 that is the problem. This problem is solved On my Firefox, the cache and cookies menu is in edit>preferences rather than tools>options, but I recognized the menu, so, thanks for your speedy solution, folks - regards, Timpo

cor-el 8 months ago You're welcome.
Sorry that I missed that you are on Linux and posted the wrong menu paths (I'm on Linux as well, so should know).
