zone alarm has been disabled.
Firefox updated and disabled Zone Alarm. Does this mean I no longer have a firewall? So my computer is not as protected as it was?

Zone Alarm is far behind in making their toolbar compatible with Firefox. Only your Zone Alarm toolbar will be disabled. Your firewall and malware protection from Zone Alarm will function without the toolbar. The current Zone Alarm version is 10.1.079.000 and its toolbar is compatible only through Firefox 8.

Firefox has built-in malware protection for known malicious sites,similar to the Zone Alarm toolbar, they just use a different database:
