I cannot get rid of the vhsare plugin. It defaults to that search engine no matter what I do. Can i get rid of it somehow?

solution:

1. type about:config into address bar. 2. type keyword.url in filter field and this will bring keyword.url preference and you will see value as vshare address 3. double click on this preference and change address to (http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=) in pop-up window. no brackets in the address.

this will change your address bar keyword search to google as default.

Open Firefox. Click on the top of the screen where it says "Tools", click "Add-Ons". It should be listed there. You can disable it or uninstall it. You will need to restart Firefox for the change to take effect.
