Update: The latest pre-release version from the Aurora channel supports Flash on Android 2 and on Android 4. (Flash is not working yet on Android 3 "Honeycomb" devices.)

Sorry, Firefox 4 beta for Android is not compatible with Flash. We will work with Adobe to add Flash support to a future version.

This is a pretty huge fail on Mozilla's part. Finally, when iPhone and Android get flash support, Mozilla decides to compete in the mobile browser market and falls way short of being a contender. HTML5 isn't widely adopted and won't be for years, and until then Flash will continue to be on top. How does anyone release a browser for any platform and not include support for Flash these days? It makes Firefox for Android almost completely useless - the browser should have been held back for release, or at least held in a beta stage, until Flash support was included. I was looking forward to this browser and to try out the sync options with my desktop - but I can already do that with Chrome and Android and I get flash support. Is Mozilla slipping?

If you open the android google browse on your tablet. ( the blue world icon )

You can within the settings enable this option.

It is not default.

Once enabled it displays just like on a pc

Hope this helps

Apple will never get flash. Steve the bully jobs couldn't get along with many people. Html5 will be a very slow changeover 5 to 10 years for most sites. Wouldnt want a apple. Hope fire fox does develop it... Thats why now have no apple crap only Android Firefox its beta... Not final its in development....

I agree that Mozilla Firefox doesn't support flash at this point of time. However considering and comparing other android browsers Mozilla is far ahead of them. The support for the flash might be there with next release of Firefox. But I love working with this beautiful browser, the options for tabs and settings are just amazing. You can do things done in less than a second.

Actually the Mobile Firefox does support flash depending on Android and mobile Firefox version.

It was not until Android 2.2 that Flash support came about even.

Flash for Android 2.2+ is enabled starting with the new "native Android" version of Firefox 11 and later.

Flash for Android 3 (Honeycomb) and 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) will take some additional engineering work, which should be finished in a future release.
