[SOLVED] On firefox startup, no window is displayed, and a strace reveals that firefox is getting a SIGFPE (floating-point exception) signal.
On a fresh install of firefox-3.6.8, the SIGFPE signal is being emitted. Firefox does not load at all -- no window is displayed, but a process exists.

The issue was not with firefox. It is an upstream issue with the installation of the gtk-qt-engine package.
