Firefox crashes due to AVG SafeSearch

Crashes in avgssff.dll are caused by AVG SafeSearch, a Firefox extension that comes with AVG Antivirus.

Solutions

Update AVG: For instructions, visit the AVG website.
Disable AVG SafeSearch:

1. At the top of the Firefox windowOn the menu bar, open the Tools menu, and select Add-ons. The add-ons window will open.
2. In the Add-ons window, select the Extensions panel.
3. Select AVG SafeSearch, then click Disable.
